Families this project supports

These are just some of the families this project supports.

Meet Jehad Al Farra

When I first met Jehad, he was in Khan Younis. He is one of the fortunate few who have recently been evacuated and is now safe in Ireland. But safety has not meant relief—he remains responsible for the survival of 20 family members, including his parents, siblings, and 10 young nieces and nephews, who continue to struggle every day for food, water, medicine, and basic health care.

Jehad’s GoFundMe campaign provided temporary relief, but most of those funds have already been spent on urgent needs. Now that he is outside Gaza, raising money has become even harder. From afar, he carries the immense burden of supporting his family while trying to study, adjust to a completely new environment, and rebuild his own life from scratch. The stress has taken a heavy toll on his mental and physical health. He urgently needs support to keep his family alive while finding his footing in Ireland.

Meet Lina Lyad

Lina is a mother of two young children, Julia and Mohammed. Before the war, she and her husband were both architects, building a life filled with dreams and stability. In an instant, everything was taken away: their jobs, their livelihood, and their home.

Since then, Lina and her children have lived a life of displacement, moving from one unsafe place to another in search of shelter. For months, they endured harsh conditions in cold tents with little protection or comfort. Now, they are trapped in a rodent-infested space, struggling every day to survive.

Her children go to sleep hungry and frightened, while Lina bears the unbearable weight of watching them suffer. The family urgently needs help — not charity, but a lifeline. Every donation makes a real difference in protecting this family from hunger, disease, and despair, and in giving them the chance to live in safety like children everywhere deserve.

Meet Najwa

Najwa is a single mother of two boys, Ahmed (13) and Abdullah (11), while also caring for her elderly parents. Her husband was killed, and the family has lost everything — even their beloved cats.

Despite the devastation around them, Ahmed dreams of becoming a surgeon and Abdullah hopes to one day play professional football.

This family of five is enduring unimaginable hardship. There is no safe place to shelter, and they have narrowly escaped airstrikes twice. Both boys witnessed a neighbour’s tent bombed in the early morning hours and now live with severe trauma after years of violence, displacement, illness, hunger, and loss.

Your donation gives Najwa a chance to recover her health and helps her children survive, heal, and hold on to their dreams.
